Personal Life & Education:

Stewart J. Greenleaf Sr. (R), born October 4, 1939, in Upper Moreland Township, son of the late Stewart W. and Belford Greenleaf; University of Pennsylvania (B.A.), 1961; University of Toledo (J.D.), 1966; married Cecilia "Kelly" (Ackley, 1980), four children, John “Billy” W. Greenleaf, Stewart J. Greenleaf, Jr., Christopher E. Greenleaf, Ryan M. Greenleaf, 6 grandchildren; died February 9, 2021 (S. Res. 33, 2021).

Early Career:

Former assistant district attorney at Montgomery County, 1970-77; assistant public defender, Bucks County; former commissioner of Upper Moreland Township; board member for SEPTA, Municipal Police Officers' Education and Training Committee (Bogden, 2017); partner, Elliot Greenleaf, P.C. (S. Res. 33, 2021).

Pennsylvania Politics:

Pa. House of Representatives 1977-78; elected to Pa. Senate 1978; chair of Law and Justice Committee, Judiciary Committee; vice-chair of Intergovernmental Operations Committee, Urban Affairs and Housing Committee (Bogden, 2017; Ackley, 1980); left office November 30, 2018.
