Fleming, born May 12, 1801, Lock Haven, Clinton County, Pennsylvania; son of John and Susanna Chatham Fleming; studied law, admitted, Lycoming County bar, 1827; trial Lawyer; delegate, Pennsylvania Constitutional Convention, 1837-1838; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1839-1842; first president, Lycoming Law Association, 1870; married, Mary Lloyd, remarried, Esther F. Evans; died, May 30, 1874 (aged 73 years 18 days), Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania; interment, Williamsport Cemetery, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
