Joseph Fearon Quay (Whig12) Lycoming, Centre, Clinton Counties 1844-1846

Early Life:

Joseph Fearon Quay, born October 14, 1794; Lamar, Lower Bald Eagle, Lycoming County, (now Clinton County), Pennsylvania; son of Joseph Robert and Sarah Fearon Quay; married, Mary Fleming Quay, 1827, children, Susan F Quay, Thomas Burke Quay, Sarah Quay Conley; founder of Clinton County; surveyor, Lycoming County, 1831; commissioner, construction, Bald Eagle and Clearfield Turnpike Road Company, 1839; elected, Whig, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1844-1846; Auditor of Clinton County; died, September 23, 1877, (age 82 years, 11 months, 9 days) Clinton County, Pennsylvania; interment, Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall, Lamar Township, Clinton County. 

Early Career: 

Surveyor helped lay corrective lines of Lycoming County, 1831.

Commissioner, construction, Bald Eagle and Clearfield Turnpike Road Company, 1839

Pennsylvania Politics: 

Elected, Whig, Pennsylvania State Senate, 12th district, Lycoming, Centre, Clinton Counties, 1844-1846. 

Auditor of Clinton County.
