Rowland, born April 25, 1869, Rowland, Pike County, Pennsylvania; son of George H. and Catherine Ammermon Rowland; public school education; Wyoming Seminary; engaged, business of quarrying, dealing in bluestone; engaged, lumber business; 1900-1922; elected, Democrat, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1909-1910; died, at home, heart attack, February 6, 1922; Rowland, Pike County, Pennsylvania; Interment, Mount Moraiah Cemetery, Kimbles, Pike County, Pennsylvania.

Early Career:

Engaged, business of quarrying, dealing in bluestone; engaged, lumber business, timber tract, 30,000 acres, Pike County; 1900-1922.
