Peterson and Brothers; Philadelphia Assessor, four years; operated, law blank stationery business; elected, Democrat, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1868-1873; elected, Democrat, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1875-1878; died, in office, March 18, 1878, Bright’s Disease of kidneys, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interment Saint Mary's Catholic Churchyard 252 South 4th Street, above Spruce Street, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. reinterment, New Cathedral Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.

Legacy: 

Elected, Pennsylvania State Senate, at age 28, 1867. 

In the same vault are Francis Nagle who was buried April 1879 and Mary Nagle who was buried in August 1878. He was single but he had a brother named Francis and both his mother and sister had the name Mary.

Gravesite Details

All info states that he was buried at St. Mary's but he is on the New Cathedral register stating he is buried in a private vault in the above plot.
