Charles Eugene Miller, born October 3, 1894, Tamaqua, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania; son of Zachariah and Mary Elizabeth Trout Miller; Mount Caramel High School; course of study, Wharton School of Finance, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia; captain, 79th division, United States Army, World War I; wholesale baking business; elected, Democrat, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1933-1936; defeated, 1936; appointed, office, Attorney General, 1936-1943; salesman, Harrisburg, 1943-1948; died, August 5, 1948 (aged 53), injuries of fractured skull, Harrisburg Hospital, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interment, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Tamaqua, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.

Legacy:

Death, resulted from a fall, a Dauphin County Grand Jury, cleared Theodore Magnelli involuntary manslaughter charge stemming from the July 31, 1948, Harrisburg altercation over a promissory note, in front of a taproom, Third and Cherry Streets. Magnelli associated with Magnelli Produce 112 South Second Street, Harrisburg.
