George Washington Hood, born December 1, 1845, Indiana County, Pennsylvania; son of James and Martha Trimble Hood; Tuscarora Academy, Juniata County; Westminster College, Lawrence County, 1870; read law; attorney, Indiana County; elected, Republican, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1885-1888; married, Sallie E. Ehrenfeld Hood, (d. 1879), married, Adeline Quigg Hewitt, 1888; died, February 28, 1900, heart attack, Indiana, Indiana County, Pennsylvania; interment, Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum, Indiana, Indiana County, Pennsylvania.
