Snyder, born March 1, 1851, Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania; son of Jacob and Sarah Cecetia Bowers Snyder; Hollidaysburg Seminary; Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, 1871-1872; printer; pharmacy apprentice; pharmacist; succeeded his father as owner of the pharmacy, 1872; member, Pennsylvania Board of Health; elected, Republican, Pennsylvania House of Representatives, 1911-1914; not a candidate for reelection, 1915 term; elected, Republican, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1915-1926; married, Cora Eleanor Moore Snyder; died, December 19, 1943, Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania; interment, Hollidaysburg Presbyterian Cemetery, Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania.
