William Ulysses Brewer, born April 3, 1844, Montgomery township, Franklin County, Pennsylvania; son of Joseph P. and Margaret Vandran Brewer; State Normal School, Millersville, Pennsylvania (now, Millersville University of Pennsylvania); taught mathematics in that institution for several years; read law with Honorable George W. Brewer; admitted, Franklin County bar, 1868; engaged, practice of his profession; married, Isabella Watson Rowe Brewer, son John Rowe Brewer; died, January 12, 1924 (aged 79) Greencastle, Franklin County, Pennsylvania; interment, Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle, Franklin County, Pennsylvania.
