Douglass Mansfield; grew up on a farm; public schools, Elizabeth Townships, South Versailles Townships; McKeesport Business College, 1896; engaged, real estate, insurance business, 1901; director, First National Bank of McKeesport; director,  Watson Paint and Glass Company, Youngstown, Ohio; president, Electric Battery Service Company; Detroit, Michigan; elected, alderman, Fourth Ward, McKeesport, 1902, three consecutive terms; city treasurer, McKeesport, 1916-1917; chaired, Republican, City-County Executive Committee, 1921-1922; elected, Republican, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1923-1934; purchased, editor, McKeesport Daily News, 1925; elected, commissioner, Allegheny County; married, Margaret Butler Mansfield, son, William Douglas Mansfield, Jr.; died, October 6, 1952, (age 74), McKeesport, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
