Clarence F. Manbeck, born September 21, 1908, Bethel Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania; son of Webster and Salome Yeich Manbeck; public school education; founder, C.F. Manbeck Poultry Incorporated; farmer; married, Eve Pyse; children, Alletta M. Schadler, Barbara M. Bauer; school director; director of the Chamber of Commerce and Community Chest (United Way); member of the executive committee of the Lebanon County Republican Committee; director of the First National Bank of Fredericksburg; elected, Republican, Pennsylvania State House of Representatives, 1961-1966, not a candidate for reelection, 1966; elected, Republican, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1969-1982; died, May 14, 1991, Fredericksburg, Lebanon County; interment, Altalaha Lutheran Cemetery, Rehrersburg, Berks County, Pennsylvania.

Enacted from Senate Bill 1200 on Monday December 21, 1998, P.L. 1064, No. 140, The bridge located on SR 1022, also known as Camp Strauss Road, that crosses Monroe Creek in Bethel Township, Lebanon County, shall be known as the Senator Clarence F. Manbeck Bridge. 1998 Act 140 (state.pa.us)
