David Maclay, born June 10, 1818, Lewistown, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania; son of William Plunket and Jane Holmes Maclay; engaged, farming; Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, 18th Regiment, Civil War, 1862; elected, Republican, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1873-1875; married Elizabeth Plunket Richardson, 1846; children, Jane Holmes Maclay, Mary Porter Maclay, William Plunket Maclay, Margaret Richardson Maclay, Samuel Maclay, Elizabeth Plunket Maclay, Sarah Brown Maclay, David Richardson Maclay, Anna Maclay, Harriet Patton Maclay; died, November 6, 1892 (age 74), Missoula, Missoula County, Montana; interment, Missoula Cemetery, Missoula, Missoula County, Montana.
