Frank Kopriver, Jr. was the son of Frank and Anna Moritz Kopriver, born in Duquesne, Allegheny County on February 7, 1906. A florist and member of numerous fraternal, social, and civic associations, Frank was a member of City Council, 1936, 1940, and 1954; Mayor of Duquesne, 1946, 1950, 1954, and 1958; elected Republican City Chairman, 1941 to 1960; delegate to the Republican National Convention, 1948; and served two terms in the state Senate, 1953-1960. The senator married Genevieve McDermott. He died in October 1985, Duquesne, Allegheny County.
