Frederick Lloyd Homsher, born November 19, 1885, Strasburg, Lancaster, Pennsylvania; son of John Galen and Harriet Violet Eager Homsher; merchant; married, Mary Elizabeth Bryson Homsher, children, Joseph Bert Homsher, John Bryson Homsher, Frederick Lloyd Homsher, Margaret Jane Homsher Hassel; elected, Republican, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1938-1950; died, May 3, 1950 (age 64) while in office of the Senate, aboard a train en route to sanatorium, near Mansfield, Richland County, Ohio; interment, Strasburg Mennonite Cemetery, Strasburg, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
