Milton Christian Henninger, born April 21, 1851, farm, Emaus, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania; son of Peter and Sally Ann Marcks Henninger; education, public and private schools, Emaus, Freeland Seminary (now Ursinus College) and Keystone State Normal School, Kutztown; Muhlenberg College, Allentown, 1874; teacher; admitted, Lehigh County bar, 1876; elected, district attorney of Lehigh County, 1878-1881; returned to private practice; elected, Democrat, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1883-1894; elected, Judge of Lehigh County Courts, 19191921; married, Mary J. Hausman, children, Mary Christine Henninger Rauch, Anna Henninger Turrell, Frances M. Henninger, Martha Hausman Henninger, Ida M. Henninger, James Flynn Henninger; died September 25, 1921, (aged 70) interment Fairview Cemetery, Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.

Unsuccessful bid, democratic candidate for United States Congress primary election of 1912.
