Early Life: 

Milton Christian Henninger, born April 21, 1851, farm, Emaus, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania; son of Peter and Salome Anna Marcks Henninger; education, public and private schools, Emaus, Freeland Seminary (now Ursinus College) and Keystone State Normal School, Kutztown; Muhlenberg College, Allentown, 1874; teacher; admitted, Lehigh County bar, 1876; elected, district attorney of Lehigh County, 1878-81; returned to private practice; elected, Democrat, Pennsylvania State Senator, 1883-1894; elected, Judge of Lehigh County Courts, 1919; married Mary J. Hausman, daughter, Anna, Frances, Martha and Louisa, son, James F. Henninger; died September 25, 1921, (aged 70) interment Fairview Cemetery, Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. (i)
