Theodore Lane Bean, born on June 27, 1878, Norristown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; son of Colonel Theodore Weber Bean and Hannah Heebner Bean; Norristown High School, age, 15, 1893; University Pennsylvania Law School's youngest ever graduate; married first, Sarah Albertson “Sallie” Hunter Bean, 1903, (d. 1908), daughter, Elizabeth Lee Bean Wildman, Mary Rogers Bean; second, Adele Cantrell Bean, 1917; attorney; burgess of Norristown, Pennsylvania, 1903; Pennsylvania State Senate, 1935-1938; died, September 22, 1943, (aged 65), Norristown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interment, Washington Memorial Chapel Churchyard, Valley Forge, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.

Theodore Lane Bean was baptized Lane Sunderland Bean by his parents. His only brother, William Heebner Bean, had his named changed after the death of their father, Theodore. Sunderland was not a family name but that of father and his wife, Hannah's dear friend (account of Mary Rogers Bean). Also Known As: "Lane S. Bean", "Lane"

About 12, his father died by suicide. Both his older brother and father took their own lives.
