Reuben Keller, born 1821, Reedsville, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania; son of Peter and Barbara Minich Keller; engaged, paper making business; mercantile business with seven store locations; blacksmith; hotelier, Keller’s Hotel, Adamsburg, Snyder County, 1853; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1859-1860; served, congressional conferee and federal elector; moved, Lock Haven, Clinton County; served, sheriff, Clinton County; hotelier, Pennsylvania House, Montour House; retired, hotel business, 1889, moved, Osceola Mills, Pennsylvania; married, Mary Dietrich Keller, children, Sarah J Keller Rittman, Frank P Keller, Emmet B Keller, Mary E Keller Smith, Susan Keller Ritzman, Carrie Keller Richardson; died, May 6, 1894 (aged 72–73) stricken with paralysis, while visiting his son-in-law, Councilman P.
