Born in Coraopolis, November 26, 1902, the son of E.J. and Etta (Clark) Ewing; attended public schools and the Petroleum School of Cincinnati; worked as a sales engineer; served in the 103rd Medical Unit, Coraopolis; member of the House of Representatives, 1939-1940; and member of the state Senate, 1965 until his death on May 3, 1967. His vacant seat was filled by his son Wayne Ewing. The Senator married first, Gertrude Sherlock, 1922; and second, Esma Eakin.
