Bridenbaker Chapman; physician; burgess of Warren, Pennsylvania, 1927; elected, Republican, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1931-1962; married, Carolina Albertina (Lena) Wetterbrandt Chapman, children, William Leroy Chapman, Ethel G Chapman; died, July 16, 1967, Warren, Warren County, Pennsylvania; interment, Oakland Cemetery, Pleasant Township, Warren County, Pennsylvania.

Legacy:

Chapman State Park is an 862-acre Pennsylvania state park in Pleasant Township, Warren County, Pennsylvania. The man-made Chapman Lake covers 68 acres of the park. Chapman State Park is named in honor of Doctor Leroy E. Chapman, Pennsylvania State Senator, 1929-1963. Chapman State Park, opened in 1951, is adjacent to Allegheny National Forest and State Game Land 29 just off U.S. Route 6.
