George Gray, born April 14, 1874, London, City of London, Greater London, England; son of Alfred and Sarah Jane Percy Gray; came to Philadelphia with his parents, 1880; educated, Frankford schools, Philadelphia; engaged, carpenter trade; engaged, building and contracting business twenty -two years; entered, manufacturing business, 1910; elected, Republican, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1919-1922; married, Margaret Rigler Gray, 1899, children, Edith Percy Gray Ebert, Margaret Thomas Gray Schofield; died, August 20, 1940 (aged 66), collapsed supervising repairs, North Philadelphia Church, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interment, North Cedar Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
