Biography

1904 - 1976

Born August 4, 1904, the son of Harry A. and Mary Margaret (Barclay) Gourley; attended Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, and graduated from Ohio State University; member of several Western Pennsylvania and Ohio bar associations; and First Assistant District Attorney, Washington County, 1936-1941. He served a single four year term in the state Senate, 1943-1946. Gourley married Mildred R. Plunkett. He died in September 1976, Pittsburgh.
