Born September, 23, 1860, Chambers Templeton was the son of farmer David B. and Annie Templeton of Tyrone Township, Blair County. He received his education in common schools, Birmingham Mountain Seminary, and Millersville State Normal School. Templeton taught in public schools for seven years; studied law, and was admitted to the Huntingdon and Blair County bars in 1888. He pursued private practice. He served a term in the state Senate, 1907-1910, chairing the Education Committee. He retired with his wife Alice to his law practice after senate service. The senator died in 1916, Tyrone Township, Blair County.
