Of Lehigh County, born on August 27, 1902, Northumberland County, to Oscar George and Minnie (Earhardt) Tallman; educated in Allentown public Schools, Allentown High School, Mercersburg Academy (1920), Lafayette College (1924), and the University of Pennsylvania, (1927); attorney, member of the Superior and Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania; U.S. District Court of Appeals; and Common Pleas Court, Lehigh County; Solicitor, Director of the Poor, 1930-1934; Lehigh County Controller, 1938; Chair of Lehigh County Republican Committee, 1934; married Maude Snyder. Senator Tallman died on November 30, 1967.
