Owen Redington Washburn, born August 22, 1866,  Vernon, Windham, Vermont; son of Artemas and Lucinda Wright Bailey Washburn; Vernon common school education; Deerfield Academy, Massachusetts; Meadville Theological School; Saint Lawrence University, Canton, New York; moved to Crawford County, Pennsylvania, 1890; summer pastorship minister, Hartland, Vermont, 1892; ordained, Stoughton, Wisconsin, 1892-95; minister, Sharpsville, Mercer County, Pennsylvania, 1895-96; Linesville, Crawford County, 1896-98; elected, Democrat, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1899-1902; married, Mae Louise Doane Washburn, 1891 (d.1946) daughter, Marion Washburn Towner; remarried, Costella Gertrude Gale Washburn (d.1955); minister; author; died, April 22, 1960, (aged 93) Reno, Washoe County, Nevada; interment, Whithed Cemetery, Vernon, Windham County, Vermont.
