Of Jefferson County; born in Wellsboro, Tioga County, April 10, 1869; educated at Wellsboro High School and Warner’s Elmira Business College; clerk; music teacher; studied law in Wellsboro; admitted to Tioga bar, 1892; moved to Big Run, Jefferson County, January 1893; law practice; several county office positions; Jefferson County School Director, 1896; delegate to the 1897 Republican State Convention; member of the House of Representatives, 1898-; Died in office.
