Henry Isaiah Wilson, born April 10, 1869, Charleston Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania; son of Daniel and Lydia Stickley Wilson; Wellsboro High School; Elmira Business College; studied law, admitted, bar of Tioga County, 1892; workers compensation attorney; attorney, Rochester and Pittsburgh Coal and Iron Company; band and orchestra musician, soloist, teacher, director and composer; re - located to Big Run, Jefferson County, 1893; maintained a law office there, continuously since that time; married, Blanche Bacon Wilson, 1893, two sons, Lavelle A. Wilson, Corday l. Wilson; elected, delegate, Republican National Convention, 1897; elected, Republican, Pennsylvania State House of Representatives, 1899-1900, not a candidate for reelection, for the 1901 term; Journal Clerk, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1907-1908; elected, Republican, Pennsylvania State House of Representatives, 1911-1912; elected, Republican, Pennsylvania State House of Representatives, 1915-1916; elected, Republican, Pennsylvania State House of Representatives, for the 1937 term, sworn-In on December 1, 1936-1940; elected, Republican, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1941-1948; died while in office of the Senate, August 13, 1948 (aged 79), Adrian Hospital, Punxsutawney, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania; interment, McClure Cemetery, Big Run, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania.
